Apr. 26--BELLEVIEW -- A month after Belleview city commissioners attended a workshop to discuss offering a free wireless, or Wi-Fi, system to businesses and residents, one businessman is ready to assist the city with the cost of exploring that possibility.
Chris M. Spears, owner of Prestige Auto Sales, said Tuesday he will commit to most or all of the $7,500 the city would have to pay the Florida League of Cities to conduct an exploratory study. The study, which is the first of three phases, would gather opinions from residents and community leaders to see if implementing the system is a good idea.
